FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF) SCQF Level 6 Award: Award in Leading First Aid for Mental Health at SCQF Level 6 Approximately one-fourth of the population in the United Kingdom will encounter a mental health condition each year, and at least one-sixth of employees face common mental health problems in the workplace. According to research, work is the leading source of stress, which might hinder an individual's performance. Due to stigma and fear of discrimination, mental health disorders are frequently concealed, and research indicates that a culture of fear and quiet on mental health is costly for businesses. This course enhances knowledge gained from Level 2/5 Award in First Aid for Mental Health and covers a broader spectrum of mental health illnesses, as well as the breadth of therapies and professional assistance that a person may get throughout treatment for a mental health condition from professional bodies. The course is designed to promote building a culture of mental health and wellbeing. A variety of topics are covered, including: • What is Mental Health First Aid? • Identification of mental health disorders • Providing guidance and initiating a dialogue • Drugs and alcohol • First Aid for Mental Health action plan • First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace • Comprehensive coverage of a wide variety of mental health conditions. Certification Learners will be granted the Ofqual-regulated Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)/Award in Leading First Aid in Mental Health at SCQF Level 6 upon successful completion of the qualification examination. This credential is valid for three years from the day it was earned. Annual refresher training is strongly suggested for all students. To maintain certification for an additional three years, the student must retake the full course. Assessment Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor throughout the duration of the course, along with a written assessment on each day. A Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment on both parts.
