Reducing Suicide

Mary Anne Crook is England’s most experienced deliverer of Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), which teaches skills in recognising suicidal thoughts, starting a conversation, and working to keep people safe, connecting them to appropriate supports. ASIST is part of the internationally delivered LivingWorks Trainings. 

Mary Anne’s background is in Public Health and her training partner Marion Willers is a Samaritans deputy branch director.

Suicide is common, yet taboo and much misunderstood. Most deaths are preventable. Through this session you will learn how anyone can make a difference.
